SDC NEWS and EVENTS for 2005

          

East Kern Airport District approves SDC proposal for Solar Electric Power Plant at Mojave Airport on August 2, 2005. Project will eventually produce 1 megawatt of electricity from the Sun. Press reports in both the Antelope Valley Press and the Desert News.


SDC OPENS THE MOJAVE AIRPORT SDC JUNE, 2005

            The new office and 12 volt store are now open in Building One at the South Entrance of the world famous Mojave Airport. National attention is focused on exciting new aviation and aerospace port with the launch of Spaceship One with the first private launch into space. There will be an OPEN HOUSE this Summer.


SOLAR PRODUCTS AND APPLIANCES OFFERED THROUGH THE SDC. THE 12 VOLT STORE IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ONLINE.

            An array of solar photovoltaic and electrical appliances are now available at special SDC pricing. Many of the products are not offered on any other solar sites. Special appliances, wiring, pure sign wave inverters, 12 volt accessories and other specialized solar equipment are now available. New items are added regularly so keep coming back to see the latest. All are designed to reduce the need for a large number of solar panels to operate.


UPCOMING SDC WORKSHOPS

The SDC will be presenting a solar workshop in the form of a panel discussion between representative solar experts, vendors, lenders, manufacturers, solar home and business owners. There will be time for questions from the audience on any solar issues. A panel discussion under "Programs" we can start the ball rolling on our first workshop.
 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

            The SDC is seeking applications for members of the SDC Council of Advisors. The SDC is looking for a broad cross section of solar friendly advocates from the solar industry, solar homeowners and businesses, public officials, utilities, vendors and others who have a positive outlook for the use and application of solar technology. Meetings for those interested in being on the SDC of the Council of Advisors will begin this summer. Interested parties who want to contribute their expertise and experience, contact the SDC for further information and to learn of the benefits of being on the Council of Advisors.
